Assistant Restaurant Manager

SaigonHaven Restaurant & Bar is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help run our restaurant, 87/101 Lunn Avenue, Mount Wellington, Auckland 1072. You will be the manager on the floor: greeting guests, running the service, and keeping the team working well together while the manager focuses on the wider picture. What you will do: - Lead service on the floor, from opening through to close, and make sure every guest feels looked after. - Take bookings and orders, manage the guest experience, and handle any feedback or complaints calmly and promptly. - Coordinate the front-of-house team, roster shifts, and coach new starters. - Work with the kitchen and the manager on menu, stock and ordering decisions. - Open and close the restaurant, including daily cash-up and compliance checks. What we are looking for: - Previous experience in a restaurant, cafe or bar, in a supervisor or assistant manager role. - Strong customer service skills and a genuine enjoyment of looking after people. - Confident with rostering, ordering and running a busy shift. - A calm, organised approach, and the ability to stay level-headed when it gets hectic. - Availability to work weekends and evenings, which is when we are busiest.
