Cook

Tran's Vietnamese Kitchen is looking for a Cook for our kitchen at Ormiston Town Centre in Flat Bush. We serve pho, banh mi and rice paper rolls to shoppers from morning until evening, seven days a week. What you will do: - Prepare and cook dishes from our Vietnamese menu to recipe and presentation standards. - Prep fresh herbs, vegetables, sauces and broths ahead of each service. - Keep your section clean and follow food safety and hygiene rules. - Check stock, receive deliveries and help keep waste low. - Work with the front of house team so orders go out hot and on time. What we are looking for: - Experience as a cook in a busy commercial kitchen. - Knowledge of Vietnamese or Asian cooking is a strong advantage. - Good food safety practice and a clean, organised way of working. - Willing to help at our Papatoetoe or Pukekohe kitchens when needed. - Able to work a roster that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays. - Able to work legally in New Zealand.
