Chef

Nam Đ Vietnamese Street Food is looking for a Chef to join the kitchen at our restaurant, Shop 6 / 148 Willis Street, Wellington 6011. We cook Vietnamese food for guests who dine in and take away. You will be cooking our menu to a consistent standard and helping the kitchen run smoothly through every service. What you will do: - Prepare and cook dishes from our Vietnamese menu, keeping flavour and presentation consistent across services. - Prep fresh ingredients daily: herbs, vegetables, sauces, marinades and broths. - Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards, and keep an eye on stock and prep levels. - Work through busy lunch and dinner services alongside a small team, and help train kitchen hands as needed. What we are looking for: - Experience in a busy commercial kitchen. Vietnamese cuisine experience is useful but not essential — we will teach you our dishes. - Solid knife skills and knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling. - Calm and organised through a busy service, and able to work as part of a team. - Availability to work shifts across lunch and dinner, including weekends.
